Description
Uncolored of a map of the arctic surrounded by scenes of whaling from a publication of Gerard Mercator's 'Atlas' published after Mercator's death by Jan Jansson and Hendrik Hondius. Relief of the landscape is show pictorially. The names of places are in Latin, English, and Dutch. At the center is a decorative cartouche with the title. Another empty cartouche is on the right. The verso is blank.
